Terms of Use

By accessing or using BlackBelts (available at blackbelts.app), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the platform.

If you use BlackBelts on behalf of an academy, team, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf, and references to “you” then include that organization.

BlackBelts is a management platform for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies and teams. Among other features, it supports attendance and check-in tracking, recording belt promotions and stripes, managing plans and membership fees, and following an athlete’s journey. The service is operated by Agix Tecnologia.

We may, at any time, add, change, or discontinue platform features to improve the service, fix issues, or comply with legal requirements, always seeking to minimize any impact on you.

Most features require an account. You agree to provide true, complete, and up-to-date information and to keep it that way while you use the service.

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out under your account.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• Minors may only use the platform under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on the minor’s behalf.

When you join an academy or team on the platform, its administrators may manage information related to your participation — such as attendance records, promotions, and membership charges. The relationship between you and the academy (fees, training rules, frequency, and so on) is established directly between you; BlackBelts only provides the tools for that management.

BlackBelts is not a party to that relationship and is not responsible for the agreements, services, or conduct of academies and their students. Any disputes about the service provided by an academy must be resolved between the parties involved.

Some BlackBelts features are offered through paid plans or subscriptions. When you sign up for a plan, you agree to the price, billing period, and payment method shown at the time of purchase.

We may change plan prices and conditions. Price changes for ongoing subscriptions will be communicated with reasonable notice and take effect only from the next cycle, giving you the chance to cancel before renewal. Failure to pay may lead to suspension or termination of access to paid features.

Attendance via facial recognition is an optional feature, enabled only with your specific consent — or that of the legal guardian, for minors. Facial enrollment is never required to use the platform and can be removed at any time in your settings.

How we handle biometric data is detailed in our Privacy Policy. By enabling the feature, you agree to use it only for confirming attendance and only with the consent of the people involved.

When using BlackBelts, you agree not to:

You are responsible for the data and content you add to the platform (such as student information, images, and records) and represent that you have the right to use it and to provide it to BlackBelts. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to the extent necessary to operate the service.

When you add data about other people — for example, your academy’s students — you agree to do so lawfully, on an appropriate legal basis, and to inform them about the processing, in accordance with applicable data protection law.

The platform, its brand, logos, design, code, and other elements are owned by Agix Tecnologia or its licensors and are protected by law. These terms do not transfer to you any intellectual property rights in BlackBelts, beyond the limited right of use described here.

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Use and complies with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD). We recommend reading it to understand which data we collect and how you can exercise your rights.

BlackBelts is provided “as is”, without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet all of your expectations. We make reasonable efforts to keep the platform available and secure, but we do not guarantee continuous availability and may perform maintenance and updates.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BlackBelts and Agix Tecnologia are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss arising from factors beyond our reasonable control, or for the conduct of third parties, including academies and other users. Nothing in these terms excludes liabilities that cannot be limited by law, in particular those under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, in whole or in part, if you breach these terms, misuse the platform, or where necessary to protect the service and other users — whenever possible, with prior notice.

Once the account is closed, paid features may be interrupted and some data may be deleted, subject to the retention periods required by law and to the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes in the service or in the law. When that happens, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you through appropriate channels. Continued use of the platform after the changes take effect represents your agreement to the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any disputes will be submitted to the courts of the consumer’s domicile, where applicable, or otherwise to the courts of the operator’s registered office, without prejudice to other means of resolution provided by law.
